Entries and Weigh In
  • All Entries $20
  • No Online Entries
  • Junior Fair Exhibitors sign up for show during weigh-ins
  • Day of show drive-ins will complete entries and weigh-in from 10AM – 11AM on the day of the show
  • Junior Fair Exhibitors will show by Junior Fair weight.
Rules
  • Ohio Fair Rules Apply
  • Out of State Health Papers Required for Wether or Doe
  • Non Junior Fair Exhibitors will show off their trailer
Awards
  • Grand Champion: $200 and Belt Buckle Trophy, sponsored by Jim Ray and Family
  • Reserve Champion: $150
  • Third Overall: $100
  • Fourth Overall: $75
  • Fifth Overall: $50
Preble County Market Goat Born and Raised Class - Specific Rules
  • The county born and raised form must be completed in full, including signatures and turned in to the Preble County Extension Office by the stated deadline.
  • No late forms will be accepted. Forms will not be accepted at tagging.
  • Animals without completed forms on file by the deadline cannot be shown as county born and raised market goats.
  • All market goats must be tagged with the current year Junior Fair tag. Four market goats may be tagged, and shown in the Junior Fair Market Show. Exhibitors may show up to 4 market goats in the county born and raised show. The goats shown must be same as the ones tagged in during the spring.
  • Only one exhibitor can be listed as the owner. Family or farm names are not permitted.
  • The animal’s ear tag number must match the registration form at the Preble County Fair tag in or it will be ineligible for county born classes.
County Born Eligibility Rules
  • Goats must have been produced by a Preble County producer. The project must be born in Preble County.
  • All must have a scrapie tag at county weigh-in.
  • Market goats must have a PCJF ear tag that matches the registration form. Market goats without ear tags cannot be shown as county born.
  • The breeder must sign the form stating all information provided is true.
  • Preble County Fair personnel reserve the right to verify eligibility.
  • All Junior Fair rules apply.
